Menopause affects working life

Sleep problems, stress, brain fog, low energy and other menopause-related symptoms can affect both wellbeing and work ability – often without the employee or organisation seeing the full picture.

For employers, this is not only a health issue. When experienced employees lose capacity, reduce their working hours, take sick leave or leave the organisation, productivity, continuity and profitability are affected.

MeWe&You® is developing a privacy-first platform that combines personalised support for employees with aggregated insights for organisations. Employers never receive access to individual health data.

MeWe&You Health is one of three femtech companies selected for Next Phase Femtech – a three-year Danish-Swedish project developing, testing and validating new solutions for menopause and working life in real-world workplaces.

The project is co-funded by the European Union through Interreg Öresund–Kattegat–Skagerrak.

We’ve already tested MeWe&You®. Now we’re taking the next step.

MeWe&You® has been tested with women in perimenopause and menopause. We followed how they experienced the support and what changed during the test period.

We have also piloted our offering with employers. Their experiences, together with the results from the women’s user tests, form the foundation for MeWe&You Insights™ – the platform we are now developing and validating in real workplaces.

How menopause shows up at work and in career decisions

A strength of the Gallup–Pivotal survey is its probability-based sample, weighted to reflect the U.S. adult population. This offers a broader picture than an open survey where people choose to take part.

MeWe&You Insights™

We are now developing the part of MeWe&You® designed to help employers move from isolated initiatives to better-informed decisions.

MeWe&You Insights™ will turn aggregated, privacy-protected signals into a clearer picture of where menopause-related impact and working conditions intersect. The goal is to help organisations prioritise relevant actions and track what actually makes a difference over time.

For employees: Voluntary, personalised support to understand symptoms, recognise patterns and find relevant steps for everyday life and work.

For organisations: Aggregated insights and recommended actions – without screening, diagnosis or access to individual responses or health data.

The platform is being developed and validated through Next Phase Femtech together with workplaces and partners in Sweden and Denmark.
