Integritetspolicy för MeWe&You

Version 3.0 – Uppdaterad den 21 september 2026

MeWe&You Health AB
Org.nr 559339-8505

Privacy Policy for MeWe&You

Version 3.0 – Updated 21 September 2026

1. About this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MeWe&You Health AB processes personal data when you use the MeWe&You app, our website, contact us or participate in a pilot or other activity covered by this Policy.

We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection law.

2. Controller and contact details

MeWe&You Health AB is the controller for the processing described in this Policy unless we tell you otherwise in a specific context.

MeWe&You Health AB
Swedish company registration number 559339-8505
Luleå Science Park, Aurorum 1C
977 75 Luleå, Sweden
Email for privacy enquiries: hello@meweandyou.com

Where an employer or another organisation provides access to the Service, that organisation may be a separate controller for its own administration, such as information about who is offered access. MeWe&You is the controller for your individual entries and health information in the App unless you receive specific information about a different allocation of responsibility.

3. Personal data we process

Depending on how you use our services, we may process the following categories of personal data.

3.1 Account and contact information

  • name,

  • email address,

  • user or account identifiers,

  • chosen login method, and

  • communications with support or other correspondence with us.

3.2 Health and wellbeing information

You may choose to record information such as:

  • age or age range,

  • menstrual cycle and menopause stage,

  • symptoms, sleep, energy, stress, mood and wellbeing,

  • lifestyle factors, activities and feedback,

  • how you experience the relationship between health and work, and

  • other information that you voluntarily provide in the Service.

This information may constitute data concerning health and therefore special category personal data under the GDPR.

3.3 Usage and technical information

We may process information about:

  • how and when you use the Service,

  • the features and content you use,

  • app version, operating system, language and device type,

  • technical identifiers, logs, diagnostics and error reports, and

  • security and authentication events.

3.4 Information from other sources

We may receive limited information from:

  • an authentication provider, such as Apple or Google, if you choose that login method,

  • an employer or organisation providing access, such as information needed to confirm eligibility or administer a licence, and

  • project or research partners where this has been explained to you in separate information.

We do not receive individual medical records from your employer.

4. Why we process personal data and our legal bases

We identify the legal basis before processing begins. Where processing involves health data, we require both a legal basis under Article 6 GDPR and an applicable condition under Article 9 GDPR.

4.1 Providing an account and core functionality

We process account, contact and necessary technical information to create and administer your account, authenticate you, provide the Service and deliver support.

Legal basis: performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Certain support and security processing may also be based on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4.2 Personalisation and health data

We process the health and wellbeing information you choose to provide in order to show patterns and trends and personalise content, activities and suggestions.

Legal basis: performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). For special category health data, we additionally rely on your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR).

You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal, but it may mean that you can no longer use features that require health information.

4.3 Security, troubleshooting and abuse prevention

We process technical information and logs to protect users and systems, detect misuse, resolve technical problems and maintain the security of the Service.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing a secure and functioning service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, where relevant, performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

4.4 Analytics and product development

We may analyse use of the Service to understand its functionality, accessibility and user experience and to develop and evaluate it.

For necessary analysis of technical usage data, we rely on our legitimate interest in improving and securing the Service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Non-essential analytics in the App or on the Website are based on consent where required. Where analytics or anonymisation involve special category health data, we use it only with your explicit consent (Articles 6(1)(a) and 9(2)(a) GDPR). Once the information has been anonymised so that no person can reasonably be identified, its subsequent use is no longer subject to the GDPR.

Anonymous information that can no longer be linked to an identifiable person is not personal data under the GDPR.

4.5 Aggregated insights for employers and organisations

If you use the Service through an employer, testbed or another organisation, MeWe&You may produce aggregated group-level insights. The purpose is to help the organisation understand broader patterns at the intersection of health, menopause and working conditions.

The employer does not receive access to your individual entries, symptoms, recommendations or other individual health information. Reports are designed to reduce the risk of identifying individuals, including through aggregation and appropriate reporting thresholds.

Where personal data or special category data is processed to create such insights, processing is based on your voluntary and explicit consent (Articles 6(1)(a) and 9(2)(a) GDPR), unless we have informed you of another applicable basis in separate information. You may withdraw consent at any time. Your employer may not require you to participate or be informed through the App whether you have given or withdrawn consent.

An organisation may receive administrative information needed to manage the offering, such as the number of activated licences, where this has been agreed and communicated. Such administration does not include individual health information.

4.6 Pilots, evaluation and research

If your information is to be used for a specific pilot, study, evaluation or research activity beyond the normal operation and development of the Service, you will receive separate information about matters including the responsible parties, purposes, legal basis, data used, retention period and your rights.

We do not treat acceptance of this general Policy as consent to research.

4.7 Communications and marketing

We may send necessary service communications about your account, security or important changes to the Service.

Necessary service communications are processed to perform our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Newsletters and other direct marketing are sent on the basis of consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time through the link in the message or by contacting us.

4.8 Legal obligations and legal claims

We may process personal data to comply with legal obligations or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Legal basis: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR), legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, for special category data where applicable, Article 9(2)(f) GDPR.

5. Automated personalisation and profiling

MeWe&You may use rules, algorithms and other automated features to personalise content and suggestions based on your entries, preferences and feedback.

We do not use solely automated decision-making that produces legal effects or similarly significantly affects you. The Service does not make decisions about matters such as employment, insurance, credit or medical treatment.

6. When we share personal data

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share personal data with:

  • processors and service providers that assist us with matters such as hosting, data storage, authentication, communications, support, analytics and technical operations,

  • professional advisers where necessary and subject to confidentiality,

  • public authorities or other recipients where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect legal claims,

  • project or research partners only in accordance with the specific information provided to you, and

  • a purchaser or successor in connection with a reorganisation, merger, financing or transfer of our business, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Providers processing personal data on our behalf may process it only on our documented instructions and are subject to contractual data protection, security and confidentiality requirements.

Your employer does not receive individual health information through the Service. See section 4.5.

7. Transfers outside the EU/EEA

Some providers or recipients may process personal data in, or make it accessible from, countries outside the EU/EEA.

Where such a transfer takes place, we use a valid transfer mechanism, such as a European Commission adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses, and apply supplementary safeguards where required.

You may contact us for more information about the safeguards used for a particular transfer.

8. How long we retain personal data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy or to comply with legal obligations.

The retention period is determined by factors including:

  • how long your account remains active,

  • whether the information is needed to provide a feature you have chosen,

  • whether you have withdrawn consent or requested erasure,

  • security, troubleshooting and documentation needs,

  • agreed periods for a pilot project, and

  • statutory requirements, such as accounting rules.

When you ask us to close your account, account and health information will be erased or anonymised in accordance with our applicable deletion procedures unless we need to retain certain information for legal reasons. It may take a limited additional period for information to be removed from backups. During that period, it will not be used for other purposes.

Information anonymised so that no person can reasonably be identified may be retained for statistics, analytics and development.

9. Cookies and website analytics

The Website may use cookies and similar technologies. Necessary cookies are used to make the Website function. Non-essential cookies and related analytics or marketing technologies are used only in accordance with applicable rules and the choices you make through our cookie controls.

More information about the cookies used, their purposes and retention periods is available in our cookie information or cookie panel.

10. Security

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against loss, destruction or damage.

Measures are adapted to risk and may include access controls, authentication, encryption, logging, backups, incident management and contractual safeguards with providers.

No technical solution can guarantee complete security. Contact us if you suspect that your account or personal data has been accessed without authorisation.

11. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you have the right to:

  • receive information about and access to the personal data we process about you,

  • have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected,

  • request erasure of personal data,

  • request restriction of processing,

  • object to processing based on legitimate interests,

  • receive certain information in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and transmit it to another provider,

  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and

  • lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY) or another competent supervisory authority.

These rights are not absolute and exceptions may apply under law. We may need to request information to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Contact hello@meweandyou.com to exercise your rights. We will respond without undue delay and normally within one month.

12. Children

The Service is intended for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information through the Service from anyone under 18.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when the Service, our processing or applicable rules change. The current version is available on our Website.

We will inform you appropriately of material changes, for example through the App, on the Website or by email. If new processing requires consent, we will request it separately.

14. Change log

  • Version 2.0 – updated 31 January 2026.

  • Version 2.1 – updated 19 February 2025.
